Summer Term Thursday 30th April – Thursday 3rd June 6 week term €65/child

2pm class for Junior and Senior infants and 3pm class for 1st class +

Autumn Term 2020 Starting Thursday September 17th – October 22nd  6 week term €65/child

Winter Term 2020 Starting Thursday Thursday November 5th – December 10th  6 week term €65/child

THE CRAFT CORNER – As seen on Ireland AM

The Craft Corner is owned and operated by Vanessa Scott-Hayward. Based on her own love of creativity the classes are designed to instill a love of art in her students. Each term is a mix of both traditional artist studies, 3D skills, painting and drawing lessons and of course our craft challenge! The aim is to mix learning with with fun, making art accesible through projects that engage our students.

We offer a wide range of services as well as the classes. Corporate family events, easter and summer camps, private lessons, birthday parties and in the past couple of years Vanessa is delighted to have been asked onto to Ireland AM several times to teach projects to even more children. My Teaching Ethos

I have a strong belief that children should be taught from a young age to value arts and crafts and their own creativity and that these skills should be nurtured and encouraged throughout life.
Throughout my years of teaching I have witnessed first hand the confidence in their own self worth that children gain from their ability to create their own art and craft. Through our creative projects we teach independence of thought and observational and problem solving techniques that will benefit them across so many aspects of their lives.

In terms of materials we use a lot of recycled materials in our art projects, showing children the vast range of creations you can make using everyday materials. We have a strong emphasis on eco thinking and being kind to our environment.
