Dear parents,
We have just received notification from the Department of Education that a Whole School Evaluation (WSE) will be taking place on Monday 4th March for 3 days in our school.
A Whole School Evaluation is a process of external evaluation of the work of a school, carried out by the Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Science. Through Whole School Evaluation, two Inspectors from the Department of Education and Science will carry out an evaluation of the quality of education being provided by a particular school in accordance with the Education Act 1998. The inspectors will evaluate the quality of the teaching and learning, school planning, school management and supports for pupils in the school.
As part of the process, parents are asked to partake in a survey which I have attached for your information below. We would request that the survey is completed by Friday 1st March so the Inspectors have all the information to inform their evaluation of the school.

Parent Survey
As part of the evaluation, you are invited to complete an online survey. The Inspectorate values your views on issues such as the atmosphere in the school, how you and your child feel about school and the quality of teaching and learning in the school.

You will first be asked to select your preferred language and then you will be required to enter the school’s roll number. Your school roll number is: 18644U
The deadline for completion of the survey is Friday 01/03/2024 @ 17:00
What happens next?
The Whole School Evaluation will take place in your school from Mon. 04/03/2024 to Wed. 06/03/2024. The report will be published on https://www.gov.ie/school-reports in due course.
