Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well. Following on from my recent message, I want to remind everyone about the importance of keeping children home from school when they are not feeling well. The health and safety of our students and school community are our top priorities and we are also concerned about the lack of substitute teachers currently to replace staff on sick leave.
We understand that it can be challenging to balance work and childcare when your child is unwell, but keeping sick children at home is essential to prevent the spread of illness within our school community. Schools are well known for being an evironment where illnesses spread and teachers will pick up illnesses also. Due to the current crisis in substitute teachers, we may not always be able to find adequate substitute cover moving forward. If your child becomes unwell in school we will be calling home to inform you of the same as per our school policy.
If you are unsure if your child is well enough to return to school, please refer to the HSE guidance.
